Our week at Maison des Pommes is almost over . We were very lucky with the weather and had only once eaten inside. Mattijs and Rosanne were very pleased with all the toys ( the go-kart , dolls, sandpit , bike , trampoline . Almost every day we cycled through the beautiful surroundings . The roads are generally very quiet and not too hilly . The cottage we found very pleasant . Well , I am glad we were able to use the washing machine. It was a very successful week. Thanks for your hospitality and trust.

By internet we arrived at the site of Les Bergeries . Especially the playground for our three children appealed to us and Marieke , Julian and Rutger finded it powerful. They had so many things to play with. We went to the lake at St.Bonnet , very nice , even if the children cannot swim. We went to Bourges and had a sightseeing by train through the city and visited the Cathedral. In the park the kids could play . In St.Amand we had dinner at "La Rotonde" and we bought a pizza from le Pizz , delicious! In Charenton we visited an agricultural event with team competitions , horses and cows that was very interesting . We also enjoyed the stories about bees , farm , birds , etc., of your father. We also made delicious blackberry jam to take home with.

After two weeks of holliday in ‘la Maison Cerises’ we went back to the Netherlands . We all together enjoyed the trips to the various villages and three towns. We also visited a farmer and some castles . The last day of vacation we canoed and had a delicious picnic .We really enjoyed the peace and rural life. Some recommendations;, Canoeing on le Cher , departure from camping les Plntanen .
Great cities such as Moulins , Nevers and Bourges – Castles in Hérisson and Bourbon l Archambault .
Swimming in the lake of St.Bonnet , BBQ at the house and enjoy a pastis and reading book in the spacious garden .

We have been here for two weeks and have had a very good time . Because of the sick children we have not been able to go away a lot , but in and around the house was also plenty to do : searching for lizards , playing football , trampoline , slam balls , barbecues etc. In the area we visited the lake , castle views , gardens an we have been to Le Pal . We especially want to thank you for your hospitality , the birthday song , and of course for going to the doctor with us.

What have you created a nice vacation spot here ! We enjoyed it , the playhouse , sandpit , trampolines and go-kart , our wonderful children occupied it . We also enjoyed the swimming lake , the castle Meillant , Abbey Noirlac , Bourges Cathedral , and a visit to St. Bernadette in Nevers . The beginning of the week was hot and heated the house anyway .
Fortunately the weather was then again bearable . Overall a great week and , in our opinion , worth repeating.
